This seminar focuses on a more detailed examination of selected linguistic phenomena in Japanese at the lexical and syntactic levels. Attention is paid to homonyms and synonyms, words adopted from English, etc.. Part of the course is devoted to the semantic differences of similar syntactic constructions, the perception of their differences and their use by native speakers. Part of the course also deals with the Japanese politeness system. Individual topics may be varied according to the needs and interests of the students, taking into account their number and focus.
Students expanded their vocabulary and became familiar with the differences in the use and meaning of various expressions and syntactic constructions.
