Learning outcomes

This course provides students with a basic introduction to the techniques of reading texts in classical and literary Chinese using Japanese. After completing the course, students will be able to read simpler texts in classical and literary Chinese of both Chinese and Japanese origin. At the same time, their knowledge of reading pre-modern texts in Japanese will also deepen.

Prerequisites

A basic knowledge of classical Japanese is preferred when enrolling in the course.
