Course content
1. Introduction to artificial intelligence and its impact on language: o Basic concepts of AI and its applications in linguistics o Machine translation and its impact on intercultural communication o Generative language models and their use in text creation and poetry o Sentiment analysis and its applications in marketing and politics 2. AI and art in the Asian context: o Historical roots of artificial intelligence in Asian culture o AI and traditional art forms (calligraphy, ikebana, sculpture) young generation of artists o AI and virtual reality in art and entertainment 3. AI and sustainability in Eurasia: o The concept of sustainable development and its relationship to AI o AI for environmental monitoring and natural disaster prediction o AI in energy and transportation o Ethical aspects of AI and sustainability 4. Case studies: China o AI development in China and government policy o AI and internet censorship o AI and the Great Firewall o AI and sustainability within the Belt and Road Initiative 5. Case studies: Japan o Japanese culture and its relationship to technology o AI and robotics in Japanese industry o AI and manga/anime o AI and sustainability in the context of Japanese values 6. Case studies: Korea o The Korean Wave (Hallyu) and its relationship to AI o AI and K-pop o AI and the cosmetics industry o AI and sustainability in the context of deindustrialization 7. Ethical aspects of AI in the Asian context: o Bias in algorithms and its impact on minorities o Privacy and data security o Copyright and ownership of AI-created works of art o Social inequality and AI 8. The future of AI in Eurasia: o Trends and challenges in AI in China, Japan, and Korea o Cooperation between countries in the field of AI o The impact of AI on cultural identity and globalization 9. Practical exercises: o Analysis of Asian works of art created using AI o Creation of own art projects using AI tools o Discussion of ethical dilemmas related to AI 10. Guest lectures: - Invited experts in AI, linguistics, and art from China, Japan, and Korea - Representatives of Asian technology companies 11. Final project: - Individual or group project focused on a specific topic in the field of AI and Asian cultures 12. Comparison with Europe: - Comparison of approaches to AI in Europe and Asia - Identification of common challenges and opportunities

Learning outcomes
The course aims to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming language, art, and cultural identity in China, Japan, and Korea, and to compare these issues with those in Europe. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how AI influences creative processes, communication, and sustainability in these countries. They will also be able to analyze the ethical and social implications of AI and propose potential solutions for the future.
