The pre-discussion takes place at the workplace of the DSP supervisor. The committee for the pre-discussion is appointed by the chairman of the departmental board on the proposal of the supervisor. The student submits the materials for the pre-discussion electronically at least three weeks before the date set for the prepre-discussion to the secretariat of the relevant department: a. the final version of the dissertation structure, b. the characteristics of the individual chapters, c. a bibliography, d. the parts of the dissertation already prepared, e. information on the results already published and the overall plan for publication of the results of the dissertation. During the pre-discussion, the student will present in 15 minutes the topic of his/her thesis, its form and content and answer questions of the committee members. The committee will evaluate the student's work and, if necessary, suggest changes and recommendations that the student is obliged to follow in the further elaboration of the thesis. Minutes of the pre-discussion discussion are made and forwarded to the appropriate faculty department, a copy of which is provided to the student. The minutes are accompanied by information on the results already published and the overall plan for publication of the dissertation results. If the conditions and course of the pre-test are regulated by the agreement on cooperation between UP and a foreign university in the implementation of doctoral studies under double supervision of the dissertation, the provisions of this agreement shall apply in priority.
