Course content
- discussion about what makes a good presentation - vocabulary, phrases and language that works well - basic non-verbal communication - how to answer questions - technical aids (power point etc) - practice

Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The course aims at improving the attendants skills in presenting in English. We will discuss what works and what doesn't, and practice the ideas. This includes how to speak, what vocabulary and language to use, as well as basic non-verbal communication and technical aids.
- gain the confidence and skills needed to present in English at academic conferences and other venues with confidence. This includes choice of expressions, non-verbal communication, the use of visual aids, and communication with participants - have an opportunity to practice in a safe environment
Prerequisites
Participants need to have English on minimal B1 level, though B2 is recommended.
