Course content
|
Students will improve their knowledge of the structure of Portuguese and will use it in conversation. Within grammar, thex will learn past simple and progressive tense, imperative and more irregular verbs. Within conversation topics, they will enlarge their vocabulary related to everyday conversation (eg. family, house and living, means of transport etc.) and vocabulary related to medicine (eg. illnesses, diseases, wounds and injuries, hospital and its sections, medical treatment, writing medical reports).

Learning outcomes
|
Portuguese 2 follows the course Portuguese 1. Students improve their knowledge of language and communication skills. Emphasis is laid on spoken language and on improving listening skills. Students will acquire more vocabulary related to medical Portuguese, which will enable more complex conversations with both medical staff and patients during their study stay in Portugal.
Improvement of conversation and listening skills. Deeper knowledge of medical vocabulary. During their stay in Portugal students should be able to attend classes and to take exams in Portuguese.
