Course content
|
To improve knowledge of Czech, broaden vocabulary, introduce medical terminology and phrases necessary for the communication with patients, read simple medical texts. Topics: history taking - psychiatric examination, renal diseases, digestive system, rheumatology, endocrinology, gynecology, neurology.

Learning outcomes
|
Improving the knowledge of basic Czech and making students familiar with the basic medical terminology; learning to read and understand simple medical texts in the Czech language.
Students will be able to use Czech during their studies when communicating with patients.

|
Knowledge obtained in Czech I and Czech II.
CJA/VAA43 and CJA/VAB42

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Mark, Oral exam, Written exam, Analysis of linguistic, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student
Credit Students who want to meet the credit requirements must take a written test and have a minimum score of 66 %. They are expected to participate actively in class, complete homework assignments and perform successfully on progress tests. Students are also required to attend their classes regularly. Examination Students who want to meet the Czech language final exam requirements must sit an oral test consisting of two parts: 1. Reading and translating a simple written text on the topics covered in the course. 2. Case history taking
