Course content
Topics: Travelling. Days, Months, Seasons of the Year, Weather. Culture. Shopping. Grammar: Locative and Dative Singular, Genitive Singular and Plural. Ordinal Numerals and Telling the Time. Nominative Plural Ma.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Acquisition of basic communication strategies, language structures and vocabulary in order to speak the language in everyday life situations; making students familiar with basic linguistic terminology and with the basic grammar structure of the Czech language.
Students will be able to use Czech during their studies when communicating with patients.

Knowledge obtained in Czech I.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam, Essay, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic

Students are supposed to participate actively in seminars which implies their concentration, being sufficiently prepared, doing homework assigned by the teacher. Only in case they have fulfilled all the required duties, students are allowed to take the credit test. The minimum score to pass is 66%. Students who pass each of three short tests written during the semester with the minimum score of 87% are relieved of the duty to take the credit test.
