Course content

Presentation of distinct representatives of each taxonomical group and their determination key characteristics, on both living and herbarium material. Introduction to work with determination keys, regional Floras, microscope and binocular.

Overview on the main taxonomical groups of higher plants; with emphasis on common plants of Central Europe.
Student should be able to (after attending the course): - describe main anatomical and morphological determination characters of Vascular Plants - apply determination keys in Vascular Plants determination - apply preparation methods and herbarisation of Vascular Plants - identify 150 common species of Vascular Plants in Czechia
