Course content
|
1. Practical field excursion with demonstration of common and important plant species of the Czech republic. 2. Students will get experienced in determination, basic ecological characteristics and phytogeography of plant species of our country. 3. Herbarium plant collecting.

Taxonomy of higher plants in nature.
Student should be able to (after attending the course): - Determine the most important Plant species of Czechia (i.e. phytogeographically, ecologically or taxonomically important). - Use determination keys in plant identification. - Explain elementary taxonomic, ecologic and phytogeographic characteristics of major central-European plants.

Written exam
attendance, plant determination test: 2/3 correctly determined plant species (test is on living material)
