Course content
Biotope types and life strategies of photoautotrophic microorganisms. Key factors of the water and subaeric environment - current, water chemistry, irradiance, temperature. Plankton - characteristic, types, temporal and spatial distribution, kvantitative and kvantitative evaluation, diversity and cryptic diversity, molecular methods, metagenomics. Bentos - characteristic, types, temporal and spatial distribution, substrate specifity, colonization, succession. Anthropogenic influence and their bioindication. Saprobity, trophy, toxicity, acidification, indicatory systems. Aerophytic environment and extreme biotopes. Interaction with other organisms including man - parasitism, symbiosis, overproduction of secondary metabolites, algal toxicity.New aspects will be included (didactic point of view, project approach).
