Learning outcomes |
The aim of this course is to provide the students with Japanese vocabulary of tourism and guiding activities, focused on the Czech Republic and Japan. Students will learn expressions which are used in Japanese tourism (about historical sights, culture, transport information, planning a tour, accommodation etc.). Lesson will be divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the practical part of the lesson students will practise their knowledge and new expressions by preparing their own presentation.
Upon completion of the course, students will: - have improved their language skills, especially in the area of tourism and guiding activities - speak properly in Japanese about themes related to tourism, such as arranging a tour, city sightseeing, description of country/city etc. - introduce basic tourism data of concrete city/country (e.g. cultural data, infrastructure data) to tourists from Japan |
Prerequisites |
The course is offered for Japanese majors of the B.A. study program. The course is designed for students who have passed Japanese 3-4. It is for students of Japanese for the Economic Practice majors, but Japanese Philology majors are welcome, too.

Active participation in classes, class preparation, individual presentation on 4-5 days tour in students´ hometown or a chosen city in the Czech/Slovak Republic, team presentation on Brno/Olomouc/Prague, 70% class attendance |
