Learning outcomes
|
The course aims first at mastering the two syllable based writing systems hiragana and katakana. Besides practising the correct way of writing, attention is also paid to practising the transcription of foreign words. After that, i.e. in the second half of the semester, it aims at systematic acquiring of Japanese characters and using the kanji dictionary.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to use the 2 syllable based Japanese writing systems and over 100 characters.
