The second part of the two-semester course for first-year students focuses mainly on grasping basic Japanese grammar structures and developing vocabulary. Part of the instruction (2 hours a week) is taught by a Czech teacher, the other part (2 hours a week) is taught by a native speaker, who concentrates mainly on drilling and practising new grammar points. The instruction is coordinated with Japanese Characters Practice 2 and Conversation 2.
Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate a command of Japanese at the pre-intermediate level.
