Course content
|
The course is divided into 24 thematic lessons covering elementary conversation situations one might encounter during daily communication with Chinese speakers: Winter semester: greeting, introducing oneself, health condition, nationality, numbers, hobbies, home, family, shopping, time, making a phone call, age summer semester: visiting a restaurant, travelling, seeing a doctor, taking a taxi, on the post office, travelling, in the bank, visiting friends, congratulating, apologizing, plans for the future, saying goodbye. .

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course realized in one hour a week, is during the first two semesters of the bachelor studies of Chinese philology create and then continuously strengthen the student's ability to understand Chinese spoken text. This exercise is closely connected with the courses of Chinese Phonetics (basic pronunciation), Chinese Grammar (basic morphology and syntax) and Chinese Conversation. Through various types of exercises, students acquire proper hearing abilities. During the lessons they practice different language phenomena and so strengthen the knowledge gained in the course Chinese Phonetics, Grammar and Conversation.
This course focuses on communication skills and aid students in developing fluency and listening comprehension in modern colloquial Chinese.
