Course content
|
Exercise is conducted so that the main emphasis on content as accurate as possible, while stylistically motivated translation. The selection of texts covers both newspaper and research texts (including history, natural sciences, economy and medicine). Because the Chinese and Czech languages are typologically very different, students are encouraged to solve problems, not only purely lexical, but also problems arising directly from animorfismu both languages. The literary texts are emphasizing the stylistic aspects of artistic texts, as well as stylizační and stylistic differences between the various Chinese authors. Students are also led to an analytical look at the text and attempts to convert him and within his stylistic specifics. For professional translation is particularly accentuated the legal texts for their complex structure are translated into the typologically different language such as Czech considerable problem.

Learning outcomes

This exercise is aimed at deepening the practical management of translation from Chinese into Czech. In addition to the prowess of practical exercises designed to introduce students to the problems of the theory of translation. Exercise is evaluated four credits for two semesters. Certifications are awarded based on the cast of written translation of text stories and a scientific text in modern colloquial Chinese, which learners can freely choose the course of extensive book collections KAS FF UP. The course builds on the experience that students have already acquired their own reading Chinese text or other courses like focus. The course is designed for students of master degree field CHINESE PHILOLOGY. Is expected discharge rate Translation Seminar 1.

In order to pass, students are expected to hand in written translations of the texts read in class, and a story in modern Chinese, which they themselves choose from the extensive book collections of the KAS FF UP library. Attendance is mandatory.
