Course content |
The first two decades of the 21st century have seen an extraordinarily rich and diverse intellectual discourse in the Chinese public sphere. This intellectual discourse revolves around arguments between Chinese liberals, the New Left, and the New Confucianists (and the rest) over fundamental political, economic, and social issues. This course examines how significant topics such as coronavirus, women's rights, globalization, and AI technology are seen from different ideological perspectives through a collection of critical essays written by modern China's foremost intellectuals from various ideologies.
