The course is an introduction to the theory of cultural studies and aims to present Chinese pop culture and its cultural, ideological and economic foundations in the widest possible variety. Classes will be interactive as much as possible in order to engage the individual experiences of all present. The class will be divided into a theoretical part, a part dedicated to a specific area of Chinese pop culture, and a final part dedicated to reports and discussion, where students are expected to actively participate in order to facilitate the understanding and consolidation of the material covered through examples within each participant's area of interest.
