Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic geography of China and teach them to work with, critically analyze and interpret this information. The course is focused on the socio-economic sphere, however, in the first part it contains a basic overview of physical-geographical topics, which are necessary for a deeper understanding of the aforementioned. The student should take the following away from the course: -Expanded factual knowledge about China, which becomes the central topic of the listener in the following years of study and possibly practice. - The listener should be able to critically analyze, interpret and place the acquired factual knowledge about China in a wider (geographical) context. -The course also includes specific information about Chinese companies, about the economic environment of China, its transformation (economic and social), opportunities and limits (threats) of its further development, which is information that the listener can subsequently use on the labor market (e.g. in guiding , translation, etc.). -Last but not least, the knowledge acquired in this course represents the geographical framework of the listener's further education, enabling him to more easily navigate in the so different Chinese environment.
