Course content
The seminar is aimed at improving orientation in Chinese written text and expanding vocabulary and knowledge of Chinese characters. During the course, students gradually develop their reading skills in Chinese, strengthen their ability to analyze Chinese texts, practice translating stylistically different texts into Czech and develop the ability to deduce the meaning of unknown signs and concepts from the context. The course makes high demands on home preparation, which consists of: a) pre-processing of the texts discussed in the exercises; b) in the separate reading of the entries sections of texts, the knowledge of which is verified in various forms during the exercise; and c) processing assigned homework.
