Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Written exam

Given that this is an intensive daily language course, continuous preparation from one class to the next is essential. The course includes ongoing testing of the material covered as well as independent completion of character and grammar exercises. The final exam consists of a written and an oral component: 1. Language skills test - assesses knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and the writing system. The passing threshold is determined by the student's continuous work during the semester (ongoing tests, attendance). 2. Successful completion of the Survival Chinese module 2. The Survival Chinese 2 module is assessed as follows: attendance and participation 15%, homework 20%, presentation 10%, midterm tests 20%, final project 35%. 3. Oral component - a conversation on the topics covered, assessing the ability to form sentences, understand dialogue, and answer questions. All three components must be completed in order to successfully pass the course.
