Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to questions of making of Art as a product of contact in Asia and beyond. They will examine fields of applied arts, fine arts, film, photography and material culture of everyday. Case studies will be " Kalasha-Drawings " Chinese films about Tibet and new Tibetan cinema " Tibetan buddhist art and architecture " Uighur Art " Uighur craftsmen and the market for souvenirs " Cave art " Gregori Choros Gurkin " Photography under the Kingdoms of Central Asia
