Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the fundamental principles of electromigration separation methods, their theoretical background and instrumentation. Students will gain knowledge of individual separation modes, factors affecting separation, and approaches to method development and optimization in capillary electrophoresis.
The student understands the fundamental principles of electromigration separation methods and is familiar with their instrumentation and individual separation modes. The student can explain the factors affecting electrophoretic separations and apply the acquired knowledge to the development and optimization of capillary electrophoresis methods.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam
The colloquium is conducted orally and consists of a discussion of two questions, one focusing on the theoretical principles of electromigration methods and the other on their practical aspects.
