The aim of the bachelor study programme is to equip the graduate with a set of mathematical knowledge and skills, methods and procedures in mathematics through which he/she will be able to understand and reflect the needs of mathematics and mathematical approach for solving the actual problems of the reality. In accordance with the requirements of the practice, the basic aim of the study field is to prepare students for their future position in the educational or other professions. This implies the necessity of mastering the disciplines of mathematics, the fundamentals of pedagogy, psychology, informatics and other general subjects.

Absolvent bakalářského stupně získá odborné/teoretické znalosti ze základních matematických disciplín, především předmětů SZBZ. Získá základní orientaci ve struktuře matematiky jako předmětu základní školy a praktickou dovednost řešení matematických úloh ze školské matematiky, získá základní poznatky z pedagogiky a psychologie. Zná podpůrné technické a multimediální prostředky vzdělávání s možným využitím ve školství a s přesahem do dalších oblastí. Je vybaven znalostí jednoho světového jazyka.
