Occupational profiles of graduates with examples Through philosophy the graduate student will find a greater understanding of the world we live in and how we should live in it. A broad range of employers will value his ability to think critically and creatively, write clearly and interestingly, discuss big questions intelligenty, and develop a convincing argument. While philosophy does not in and of itself grant occupational venues, it does make possible a well-rounded education allowing students to excel at various activities such as teaching at middle and high schools as well as academic levels, publishing, journalism, marketing, political work, the media and the legal profession. Philosophers are found working with almost every type of employer in the public, private and not-for-profit sector.
