Key learning outcomes Studies in the field of medical pharmacology are focused on the metabolism of drugs, on the interspecific differences in metabolism and on the drug-drug interactions. Second field studied here is an experimental research of natural substances with cytoprotective and hypolipidemics effects. Another theme is the optimalization of pharmacotherapy based on pharmacoepidemiological and pharmacoeconomical approaches. Last subject studied is therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), which is realised at the Ostrava Faculty Hospital.
