Course content
|
Excursion to the sea cost of Adriatic sea. Students learn the most common representatives of Adriatic marine Fauna living in the shelf-zone. Theoretical part includes overview on the systematics, anatomy, morphology and ecology of the major groups of marine organisms. In practical part, marine animals and plants are collected and presented. The collecting animals include snorkelling as well as diving into deeper depths. Students will practise sorting and determination of marine organisms using both micro- and macroscopic characters.

Learning outcomes
|
An introduction to systematics and ecology of common representatives of Adriatic marine Fauna living in the shelf-zone.
In the excursion to the Adriatic Sea, students are introduced with an overview of the most common marine fauna occurring in the coastal zone. Students try out classification and determination of macro-and microscopic marine organisms.

Basic knowledge of anatomy and morphology of invertebrate organisms.

Written exam, Student performance
Active participation in class. Student must be able to present and discuss the basic facts of the above thematic areas. Cognition of organisms.
