Course content
The three-day field trip will be located into selected localities in Moravia. Students will be introduced to modern and common biomonitoring methods, identification and work with selected members of fauna and flora. Students will improve their knowledge on classification and ecology of animals and plants and they will try to determine selected important taxa using zoological and botanical keys. Taxonomically, ecologically and economically important taxa and basic types of biotopes with their characteristic fauna and flora will be presented to students.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Observation, Demonstration
Learning outcomes
Students will be introduced to different collecting methods, determination of selected animals and plants, important diagnostic characters of common, endangered and economically important taxa and their ecological characteristics.
After passing this course, student would be able to: - use different methods of field work - know the classification of animals and plants - use identification keys - determine selected important taxa - describe the biology and ecology of selected taxa - know the basic types of biotopes with their characteristic fauna and flora
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

Presence: 100%, passing an exam: detailed notes from all field trips, identification and systematic placements of selected taxa.
