Course content
|
The field course aims on improving students' ability to determine invertebrates and vertebrates of the Czech Republic in the field. In addition, students will get familiar with knowledge on habitat preferences, foraging and reproductive strategies of Central European ivertebrates/vertebrates as well as collecting methods.

Student should be able to (after attending the course): - Use different methods of animal collecting. - Recognize the most important central European animal taxa. - Recognize the environment and communities of the most important central European animal taxa.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of anatomy, morphology and ecology of invertebrates and vertebrates.
|
Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam
Active participation. Student must be able to collect animals in the field and to have in basic knowledge on animal morphology to understand typical identificatoin characters.
