Basic properties, compared to other text systems, history, CSTUG. Inputs file structure, translation, authoring sheets. Classes of documents. Preamble, body. Page size, headings, paragraphs. Hyphenation, accents, special characters. Formatting text blocks, boxes, color. Environment, tables, lists, notes. Pictures. Mathematical formulas. Content, links, index, reference. Presentation, dynamic PDF files.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of the course is to acquaint students with the fundamentals of publishing in the typesetting system TeX and LaTeX. It focuses on understanding and proper use of commands in the source code.
Subject focused on improving and practicing skills to create professional typographically correctly formatted text with mathematical formulas, images and graphs.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of work with Word and typography at the secondary school level. Experience of working in LaTeX is an advantage.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Questionnaire, Seminar Work
Elaboration of the running tasks in class and at home.
