Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is focused to synthesis of more complex organic compounds with using protective groups. Attention is devoted to synthesis when chemical reaction is to be carried out selectively at one reactive site in a multifunctional compound. Students will learn how and which type of reagents to use for synthesis.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of organic chemistry

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Passing the oral exam.
