Course content
CDE Erasmus Joint Degree edition. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the following topics and help them master them:- Milestones of web cartography - Data formats - Raster tiles - Vector tiles - Software aspect - Cloud GIS (I) - Software aspect - Cloud GIS (II) - Software aspect - API - Software aspect - Open source - Carto aspect (I) - Carto aspect (II) - Business aspect - Map aplication development workflow

Learning outcomes
CDE Erasmus Joint Degree edition. The aim of the course is to practically familiarize students with the design, creation and implementation of advanced web maps. As part of the exercise, students master the creation of a map output in individual steps using selected JavaScript libraries (MapBox, MapLibre, Google Maps API), including the deployment of the necessary tools and functionality. The course includes seminars where students present their independent work leading to the independent compilation of a web map concept. Completion of the subject is done by practical verification of skills with the acquired systems.
CDE Erasmus Joint Degree edition. The subject aimed at acquiring knowledge of web cartography. Define the main terms and procedures, describe the main approaches, demonstrate theoretical knowledge for solving web cartography problems.
Prerequisites
CDE Erasmus Joint Degree edition. Application of knowledge from previous studies, knowledge of the basics of cartography, principles of web cartography.

Student performance, Seminar Work, Written exam

CDE Erasmus Joint Degree edition. Requirements for successful completion of the course: 80% attendance and a high-quality semester project. The course credit will be based on a written test requiring a minimum score of 80% correct answers. The final exam will be practical, assessing the ability to create a map application.
