Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to teach students how to accurately represent spatial information relating to specific natural, social or economic phenomena. Students will develop their understanding of cartographic representation methods, principles of composition and the creation of specialised maps. They will gain practical knowledge of the analysis and visualisation of geographical data, enabling them to effectively produce high-quality thematic maps using modern GIS tools.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written exam, Seminar Work
To be awarded the credit, 100% participation in seminars is required (max. 25% of absences are allowed, which must be excused) and submitted and accepted practical exercises with a point evaluation of min. 66% (no exercise may be awarded 0 points). The exam is written and oral, the content is the topics of lectures, especially the practical understanding of cartographic theory is examined.
