Course content
|
Course is oriented to definitions of basic terms and main methods, most important economic theories, regional growth theories and regional policy tools. Stress is laid on criteria of delimitation of peripheral, backward or structurally afflicted areas, preparing objective SWOT analysis and selection of optimal tools of regional policy in various types of areas.

Course focuses on development, current state and perspectives of regional policy of the Czech Republic and other European countries.

Credit requirements: seminar work on regional development of concrete area (area of municipality with extended authority). Exam requirements: knowledge within the range of lectures and literature.
