Course content
|
In theoretical part students will be acquainted with fundamentals of creation of information systems, with data sources available in the Czech Republic and with used technologies. In practical part students will be acquainted with concrete examples of regional information systems in practice and they will propose regional information system for selected purpose and region. Visit to selected institution using regional information system in practice, e.g. RDC, CR - IRIS, Integrated rescue system of the Ostravsko region, Crisis flood management of the Olomoucko region will be included as well.

Learning outcomes
|
Course is aimed at issue of use of information technologies at the regional level (in public administration, self-government; crisis management - safety system, natural catastrophes and other possible applications).
Recall basic terms and concepts of regional information systems.

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge in the field of information technology at the high school level. Ability to work independently on the computer.

|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Students will present their knowledge as practical and written colloquium.
