Course content |
Course acquaints students with a historical development of geographical approaches, analyses basic methodological conception with regard to their geographical interpretation and deals with crucial geographical theories. Students will prove their ability to work with English scientitic texts. We will deal with following topics: 1. Geography and theory; 2. From the beginnings to the half of 19th century; 3. Early modern geography; 4. Quantitative geography; 5. Structure of space and spatial interactions; 6. Time and a space; 7. Criticism of the spatial science: behavioural geography, post positivist and post modern geographies.
