Course content
The course will emphasize the Central European area (especially the Czech Republic) and, if necessary, will place the issue in an international context. Students will be introduced to basic historical-geographical approaches to studying historical landscapes. Attention will be paid to the source base and methods of source processing in historical landscape research (mainly Historical GIS).

Learning outcomes
The course will introduce historical geography as a scientific discipline (development of the discipline, subject of study, basic concepts, and directions) and present the primary source and methodological basis for research on historical landscapes.
To master the basic terms and concepts of historical geography. Be able to find and process information from historical sources.
Prerequisites
Knowledge within the scope of the compulsory subjects of study preceding this one in the study plan subject. In particular, Fundamentals of GIS and Introduction to the Study of Geography.

Student performance, Dialog, Seminar Work

Knowledge in range of lectures and literature. Compulsory participation in seminars (1 absence is possible) Preparation for seminars (reading assigned literature) Elaboration of given practical tasks.
