Course content
Course deals with the following issues: information technologies in public administration and self-government; digital data sources for regional development; creation of spatial and attribute data in ArcGIS 10.x; querrying and searching in GIS (ArcView); cartographic creation in GIS for regional geography; technology of information collection in field conditions.

Learning outcomes
Acquire knovledge of GIS software by standard user.
Apply practically GIS methods in regional geography.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in the field of mathematics and information technology at the high school level. Ability to work independently on the computer.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Students will solve practical and written part of exam as a test of their knowledge. Processing of assigned tasks during the semester.
