Course content
|
Basic knowledge from partial physical geographical disciplines (geomorphology, soil geography and biogeography) will be presented in the course. Students will be acquainted with following issues: definition, terminology and methods of research in the disciplines, basic processes on the Earth surface, in biogeosphere and pedosphere. Attention will be paid to anthropogenic influence on geoshperes and its consequences.

Learning outcomes
|
The main aim is to present basic knowledge of geomorphology, pedology and biogeography.
Recall basic terms and concepts used in Physical Geography and familiarize with basic methods in the Physical Geography.

Mark, Oral exam, Written exam, Seminar Work
Credit requirement: seminar work on the theme "Complex physical geographical characteristic of a region with concern to hazard phenomena". Examination requirements: basic knowledge in range of subject contents.
