Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get students acquainted with the main principles of scientific work, of working with information and writing expert texts. Students should acquire practical skills and knowledge in searching for information, critical assessment of sources, creating and organizing footnotes/endnotes, correct citing of references and writing expert texts (theses, scientific papers, reviews etc.).
Student will be able to effectively search in scientific databases and find relevant sources for his or her own work, critically assess suitability and reliability of sources and compose his or her own quality texts.

The subject anticipates active students' participation, including analyses of selected texts regarding their structure and formal features, criticall discussion of sources, quality of the content etc.
