Course content
|
The course is carried out as a study stay at a given secondary or primary school. Each student will sit in on at least 10 geography classes, subsequently elaborating observation reports and discussing them with the teacher of the classes. The sitting part of this stay may span a longer period of time according to the needs and possibilities of each student. In the assistence part of this course the student works as an assistent to the teacher, namely in preparing the classes and in working with pupils with specific edutaional needs or individualisation of the classes. The assistence part of the course comprises of at least ten classes.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to get the students acquainted with teaching practice, by means of sitting in on classes as well as preparing teaching materials for them.
The student is acquainted with the practical steps in preparation and conduction of teaching geography.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge of geography within the scope of secondary education standards.

Student performance
Completing 10 classes of sitting in on a class plus 10 classes of assistent work.
