Course content
|
Practical exercises in the field focused on basic geological concepts. Basic overview of geological formations in the Western Carpathians and Bohemian Massif. Stratigraphically significant localities and habitats for the occurrence of minerals, rocks, fossils, geomorphological and structural-geological conditions. Part of the exercise is a basic description of outcrops and rock profiles in the landscape, reading of the geological map in the field, sampling of rocks, introduction to the geological compass.
