Course content
|
The field training will be focused on regional environmental geology in the area of the Bohemian Massif. During the excursion, the trainees will be acquainted with the rock content, structure and stratigraphic position of visited principal geological units. Typical outcrops and rock defiles will be studied in the country, on the territory of natural reserves, natural monuments and in places of mining activities, with the accent on the importance of rock environment as an integral component of the landscape.

The students should be able to - localize, document and sample contaminated sites - assess the degree of their contamination - suggest possible measures fdor mitigation of the negative impact of the contamination on nature - debate measures to be taken for the conservation of natural preserves
