Course content
Introduction to types of mining methods in both deep and surface plants. Specifications according to mined material (coal, ores, hydrocarbons, uranium, salts). Introduction to mining technologies. Further processing of exploited raw ore: mechanical, physico-chemical, chemical, biotechnology. Safety and law background.

The students should be able to: - classify the mining methods - describe methods of deep mining - describe mehods of open pit mining - explain specific features of mining of various raw materials - describe the basic methods of processing of raw materials - recall laws concerning mining and processing
