Course content
|
Practical field training - localisation and basic geological documentation of an outcrop, determination of main types of rocks, minerals and fossils, their sampling and practical determination. Compass measurement of planar and linear structural elements. Požadavky na Credit: 2 days of active participation, attended prerequisite course, submission of written field documentation, submission of samples taken in the field, corresponding knowledge Excursion routes are conducted in relatively undemanding terrain around Grygov and Krčmaň, Hranice na Moravě and Teplice nad Bečvou, Domašov nad Bystřicí, Bruntál, Sobotín, Nectava, Přerov, Mladeč or Čelechovice na Hané.

Learning outcomes

Practical field training in geology.
The students should be able to: - elaborate basic geological documentation of an outcrop, - sample and identify the main types of rocks, minerals and fossils - perform measurement of planar and linear structural elements.

Passing the of lectures and exercises in mineralogy, petrography and general geology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Credit: 2 days of active participation, submission of written field documentation, submission of samples taken in the field, corresponding knowledge. Walking excursions can be more than 15 km.
