Course content
Actual topics in contemporary geology will be presented by invited speakers - foremost specialists. The aim is to arrange semestral thematic cycles, consisting of 2-3 lectures given by external co-workers. The leading themes for the given academic year will be given at the beginning of winter semester.

Thematic cycles on actual topics in contemporary geology will be presented by invited speakers - foremost specialists.
The students should be able to: - recognise diversity of actual problems modern geology is facing, as presented by by invited speakers - foremost specialists. - identify the directions in which the basic as well as applied research in geology is going.
