Course content
The course provides an overview of selected medical imaging and therapy. It concerns also the therapeutic use of certain methods discussed. Increased attention is given to applications for investigation and treatment of the visual system. History of medical imaging Ultrasonic technology (ultrasound physics with respect to the use of health care, medical applications of ultrasound, the application of ultrasound in ophthalmology - ultrasound biometry of the eye [A -scan , B -scan] , its use in the diagnosis of diseases of the eye, applications intraocular surgery, ultrasound therapy applications shock waves) Displaying coherent radiation, ophthalmic applications (optical coherence tomography (OCT), laser scanning tomography (HRT)) Methods of nuclear medicine, the basics of computer tomography (CT), densitometry, magnetic resonance imaging. Radiotherapy - radiotherapy. Lekselův gamma knife applications in ophthalmology The sensing electrode in medicine, the use of sensing electrodes in the study of the visual system Endoscopy, including the application of endoscopic examination of the eye in the mirror

Overwiev of some imaging methods in medicine.
Get an overview of diagnostic and therapeutic methods in health services with regard to the field of optometry and opthalmology
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the student in the field of optical experimental methods, knowledge of the physics of ionizing radiation
