Course content
1. Measurement chain (block diagram) - sensors/detectors, detector signal processing, digitalization, analysis, measurement results prezentation. 2. Convertors of physical units - sensors - features (static/dynamic), error minimazition, mechanical, temerature, electrical and magnetical sensors, ionization radiation detectors, chemical sensors. 3. Signal acquisition from detectors - analogue/digital, aplification and signal shaping, digitization (ADC/DAC), analysis in time and amplitude domain (discrimination, SCA, MCA, TOF, coincidence measurements). 4. Optics radiation detection - photomultipliers, function, types. 5. Ionization radiation detectors - units, separation (ionization chambers, proportional counters, Geiger-Muller detectors, corone detectors, scintillation detectors, semiconductor detectors). 6. Up-to-date constructions of sensors - smart sensors, implementation of computers, miniaturazition. 7. Nanosensors - application of nanotechnology, principles of novel approaches.

Learning outcomes
Students will learn the principles of measurement of different types of units and ranges, and acquire basic knowledge of processing signals from the detectors.
Knowledge Define the main ideas and conceptions of the subject, describe the main approaches of the studied topics, recall the theoretical knowledge for solution of model problems.
