Course content
uring the consequential MSc. study, the student undertakes assistant practice at the secondary school (one praxis version only). The student works under the supervision of the experienced teacher of the particular school who is certificated for the teaching of a given subject at this type of the school. During the practice, the student is visited randomly by the lecturer of particular department of the Faculty of Science of the Palacky University in Olomouc. The student assists the teacher in the classes, performs the demonstrations, carries out group works with the pupils and performs laboratory tasks. The student prepares on his/her assistant practice and records these preparations. These student records and notes from the assistant practice are given to the lecturer of department of the Faculty of Science, Palacky University in Olomouc. Individual continual pedagogical practice is focused on observation of activities of teacher and pupils in the teaching classes with subsequent analysis performed in cooperation with the teacher. The student individually chooses the school where he/she only observes the teaching. He/she has possibility to examine general pedagogical events and subject-oriented problems (framework and school educational programs, existing subject curricula, methods of teaching, aims of teaching, material equipment of the subject, utilization of didactical techniques and computer in the teaching, etc.).

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In cooperation with the supervising teacher, the student creates the project of this assistant practice. Elaborated and evaluated project with 5-8 pages is the inserted into the student portfolio. During this pedagogical practice, the student writes records from his/her observations in classes. He/She evaluates these records and inserts at least 3 of them into his/her portfolio. In the school, he/she performs active research on the topics, which he/she chooses after consultation with teachers of the school He/she elaborates active research in the form of a report with 5-8 pages and he/she inserts it into his/her portfolio.
