Course content
Bio-tests on plants (breeding, pesticides and stimulants application etc.) are finalization of basic research. This type of experiments under field conditions are influenced by many factors as rainfalls, light, disease and pest occurance, temperature and others. The aim of object is to learn students how to carry out field trials with high coincidence with farm planting of crops. Aim of field trials id to create optimal method for plants testing in randomized plots, with following statistical evaluation. Other topics are: small plot trials, plot experiemnt, semi-trials experiments and methods of treatment and planting in all these conditions including collection of observed data. Students will do their own assessment of traits and own observation from real field trials for bether understanding of field experiments.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Demonstration
  • Homework for Teaching - 1 hour per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 5 hours per semester
Learning outcomes

Theoretic and practical skills from field experiments, knowledges and skills from establishment, planting in trial, collection biometrical data and final evaluation from field trials. Intrepretation of obtained results. Graduates will be more considered from companies aimed at testing agrochemicals in field trials and breeding organisations.
